"As the result of the meeting, for this year, the Eid prayer must done at home. So, the Siak Regency government will not carry out the Eid prayers in the mosque or in the field as in previous years," said Alfedri.

According to Alfedri, all the Siak regional government should to break the chain of distribution of Covid-19. Moreover, Siak Regency is also currently carrying out large-scale social restrictions (PSBB) that proposed by the Riau Provincial Government starting from May 15 until May 25, 2020.

Alfedri also said, the Siak Regency Government has issued a circular on the Guidelines and the Implementation of the Eid Al-Fitr Prayer in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The circular also continued to refer to the fatwa of the Indonesian Ulema Council Number 28 Year 2020, regarding about Takbiran and Eid prayer in the midst of the Corona pandemic.

"Basically, according to the MUI circulars and edicts, for thhis year we will not abolish the Takbiran parade. But, that parade (Takbiran) can be done by some people in the Mosque and paying attention to health protocols by keeping a distance too.
