The Kukerta Volunteer Team of the Lawan COVID-19 Village of Riau University held a series of activities against Covid-19 in Alahair Timur Village, Tebing Tinggi District, Meranti Islands District. The activity was carried out by them in almost one month during the fasting month of Ramadan.

According to the Chairperson of Covid-19 Volunteers in Riau University in East Alahair Village, Fasha Pratana, they have carried out six activities. The activities included assisting villages in the distribution of groceries from regional government assistance, installing COVID-19 alert banners at several points in the village, spraying disinfectants in public places, making and distributing masks to residents, channeling direct assistance of cash in village funds and educating the public in anticipation of COVID anticipation -19 via local radio.

"There are three areas of activity that we do in the fight against COVID-19 in Alahair Timur Village, namely education, logistics, and self-protection. For the time being we are active in making activity reports that we do in the form of video and writing on the internet so that what is we have done this to inspire friends out there who are fighting with us in the fight against COVID-19 "said Fasha, on Saturday (06/06/2020).

Some activities such as the distribution of basic food assistance and direct cash assistance were village programs that the team participated in. In addition, other activities are an initiation from this team for villages against COVID-19.

Meanwhile, Head of Alahair Timur Village Sutrisno was very receptive and appreciated the assistance of Kukerta UNRI students.
