MoU signed to Complete Circulation of Drugs in Riau

Riau Provincial Narcotics Agency gives full support to the Provincial Management Board of the State Monitoring Agency of the Republic of Indonesia, Riau Province, to jointly eradicate drug trafficking in Bumi Lancang Kuning.

This is stated in the Memorandum of Understanding signed by the Head of the Riau Provincial Narcotics Agency, Brigadier General Drs Kenedy and the Chairperson of the Provincial Governing Body of the Republic of Indonesia State Organizer Institution of Riau H Dedi Syaputra Sagala, on Tuesday, July 14, 2020, at the Office of the Provincial Narcotics Agency Riau Jalan Pepaya, Pekanbaru City.

"Moreover, there are many drug users who have not been handled. The role in handling narcotics is not only in terms of law enforcement, but also in terms of rehabilitation. Because not all can be punished, more should be rehabilitated," said Dedi.

Dedi asserted, in this case the Provincial Leadership Board of the Republic of Indonesia State Monitoring Agency of Riau together with the Narcotics Agency would conduct early detection of narcotics abuse and illicit trafficking.

"We also agreed on the exchange of data and information, related to efforts to prevent and eradicate abuse, illicit trafficking of narcotics and narcotics precursors, while still observing the confidentiality and interests of the State" he said.
