Wow! 2023 Russia Invites Tourists to Space

News24xx.com - A traveler who dreams of going out into space may be happy! The Russian space company, Energia, will take tourists into space by 2023.

Quoted from AFP, Tuesday (30 June 2020) Energia has signed a contract with another space tourism company, Space Adventures, based in the United States (US), to bring two tourists to the International Space Station (ISS) starting the next 3 years. One of the tourists will also have the opportunity to walk in space accompanied by cosmonauts.

This announcement came days after NASA signed an agreement with Richard Galactic's space company Virgin Galactic. The aim is to promote their personal mission to ISS after getting a special training program in the US.

This mission also follows the first mission successfully carried out by SpaceX from Elon Musk last month to bring astronauts to ISS using the Crew Dragon spacecraft. The mission marks the end of the monopoly on humanity's journey to Russia's orbit for nearly a decade.

In March, SpaceX announced that its extraordinary space tour would take three people, starting next year on the Crew Dragon Airplane.

Meanwhile Space Adventures on its website has advertised space travel as "a rare and exhilarating experience," and is only available through Russian programs.
