News24xx.com - Responding to recommendations from the World Health Organization (WHO), the government now requires all people to wear masks when outside the home to prevent transmission of the coronavirus. However, due to the scarcity of medical masks, the type of masks required by the general public are cloth masks that can be reused. You don't have to buy it, you can also make your own cloth mask at home.

Cloth masks recommended by the government to prevent the spread of the coronavirus are cloth masks that have three layers. The outer layer is made of waterproof fabric to dispel droplets from the outside, the middle layer of nonwoven fabric as a filter and the innermost layer which is also of nonwoven fabric.

But if you do not find waterproof or nonwoven fabric, you can use any cloth for the outer and inner parts, while the middle part still needs to use tight fiber materials such as dry wet tissues, toilet paper, and even clean pads.

To make a fabric mask, prepare the ingredients needed, including:

2 sheets of cloth
1 sheet of dried wet tissue or toilet tissue for the filter section
2 elastic ropes
Scissor
Straight pin
Sewing machine

After providing all the ingredients, make a fabric mask as follows.
1. Cut two pieces of cloth in a size of 17.5 x 17 cm.
2. Make 3 1 cm folds each spaced 2 cm apart, then lock the folds with the pins.
3. Slip the elastic strap at the end of the right and left side of the mask.
4. Fold the sides of the mask and sew them together with the strap.
5. To add a filter cloth that can be replaced again after use, make sure the middle part on the inside of the mask has openings, Ladies.

Well, after the mask is finished, make sure you routinely wash it with detergent after each use. You also need to diligently wash your hands with soap and keep your distance from other people when in public even if you are wearing a cloth mask.
