Continuing to Implement the Covid-19 Health Protocol, Regent Alfedri Planted the First Sialang Baru Palm Oil Rejuvenation Plantations
News24xx.com - Regent Siak Alfedri with Executive Vice President Plasma / Credit to Primary Cooperatives for Members PTPN V Arief Subhan Siregar, Lubuk Subdistrict Head in Andi Putra as well as other invited guests, carried out the Prime Plant Replanting Replanting Program of the Palm Oil Rejuvenation Unit of the Koperasi Unit of the Lembah Kelapa Village Unit Sawit, in Sialang Baru Village, Lubuk Dalam District, while maintaining the security protocol of Covid-19.
Executive Vice President of Plasma / Credit to Primary Cooperatives for Members PTPN V Arief Subhan Siregar said, that the People's Palm Oil Rejuvenation Program is one of the flagship programs of PTPN V.
"Why is it a superior program? Because of the design from the start, the plantations in PTPN V 40% of the supply of Fresh Fruit Bunches must come from plasma plantations," Arief said.
Out of 56,000 hectares of plasma plantations, in Siak there are around 11,000 hectares of PTPN V plasma plantations that are old or have already been replanted.
"Of the 11,000 hectares, 1,100 hectares were rejuvenated in 2014. For 2020, we plan to rejuvenate around 1,100 hectares and for 2021, a minimum of 4,000 hectares," explained EVP Plasma / Credit to Primary Cooperatives for its Members PTPN V.
On this occasion, Arief Subhan Siregar asked for help and cooperation from the Siak Regency Government, so that the plan went smoothly.
"To reach 1,100 hectares in 2020 and 4,000 hectares in 2021 is a hard work. Therefore, I hope that the assistance and cooperation from the Siak Regency Government and its staff, so that the target is achieved", he hoped.

Still, Arief said, to help increase production output in the People's Palm Oil Rejuvenation program, PTPN V will provide farmers with knowledge in the form of Geopasial technology transfer.
"All PSR land will be mapped well, so fertilizer needs will be well illustrated. Besides that, the Village Unit Cooperative will be certified, so that the selling value of Fresh Fruit Bunches will rise," he said.
In his direction, Siak Regent expressed his gratitude to all those who have helped in obtaining funds from the Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Board.
"Alhamdulillah, the funds from the Palm Oil Rejuvenation program have increased, for one lot to get 60 million or 1 million 30 million hectares," said Alfedri.
The Government of Siak Regency through the Agriculture and Plantation Office, including PTPN V, will encourage the absorption of funds from the Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Board.
"Of the 2.5 trillion funds managed by the Palm Oil Plantation Fund Management Agency, only around 500 billion have been absorbed or around 20%. Therefore, we encourage to absorb these funds with several facilities, namely from cooperatives, farmer groups or farmer groups", explained the Regent Siak that.
The Siak Regency Government has also appealed for cooperation with PTPN V, a Regional-Owned Enterprise that also understands the entire process, while both are mutually beneficial.
"In the process of rejuvenation to harvest, the Government of Siak Regency is ready to assist in providing intercropping seeds such as corn which we will submit to 170 hectares of replanting land. This aims to avoid new poverty due to the rejuvenation process," he said.
Then Alfedri also hoped that PTPN V would foster and guide the community of oil palm farmers in order to obtain a certificate of the Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil System.
"Because with the certificate of the Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil System, production will increase and the price will become a premium at the Factory. It is clear that this will raise the people's income", hoped Regent Alfedri.
For in Siak district, the certification of the Indonesian Sustainable Palm Oil System has been carried out in 4 villages, namely Mandi Angin Village, for Teluk Mesjid Village and Dosan Village assisted by Winrok Environmental Social Society, while for Koto Ringin Village is in the process.
Sub-district Head Lubuk Dalam Andi Putra expressed his gratitude for the assistance from the Siak Regency Government, Bank Riau Kepri and PT. PN V, which has assisted the community in conducting oil palm rejuvenation, through the People's Palm Rejuvenation program.
"We represent the people of Lubuk Dalam Subdistrict, hoping that the People's Palm Oil Rejuvenation program will continue in 2020, because this program is very much needed and clearly helps the community, especially oil palm farmers," hoped the Lubuk Dalam District Head. (Adv)
